Cochin - Munnar - Periyar - Kumarakom - Houseboat - Alleppey - Cochin

Day 1 : Cochin - Munnar
Arrive at Cochin airport and drive to Munnar (135 Kms - 4.5 Hrs). Munnar is situated at a height of 1800 mts above sea level and is home to South India's highest peak (Anamudi - 2695mts). Check in at the hotel. Visit the Tea estates - where lush green valley is a delight to your eye's. Stay overnight at the Hotel.
 
Day 2 : Munnar
After breakfast, Full day visit to places around Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park, the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hermitragus Hylcrious) - Mountain goat of South India. Visit Mattupatty dam. Evening is at leisure. Stay overnight at the Hotel.
 
Day 3 : Munnar - Periyar
After breakfast transfer to Periyar (120 Kms - 4 Hrs). Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the largest wildlife reserves in India occupying 777 Square Kms of the Cardamom Hills region of the Western Ghats. Afternoon sightseeing and overnight stay at the hotel.
 
Day 4 : Periyar
Morning game viewing by the boat in the sanctuary surrounded by the hills. Wildlife includes Elephants, Gaur, Wild dogs, Otters, Freshwater Tortoise and bird species like Heroin, Kingfisher, Hornbill, Water and Fishbowls can be seen here. Afternoon visit to Spice plantations. Overnight stay at the hotel.
 
Day 5 : Periyar - Kumarakom
After breakfast drive from Periyar to Kumarakom (121 Kms - 4.5 Hrs). Upon arrival, Check-in at Hotel. Kumarakom near Kottayam (16 Kms) is well known for its backwaters and Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. This sanctuary is rich with a number of noteworthy species include the Dater or Snake Bird, Little Cormorant, Night Heroin, Golden- backed Woodpecker, Crow, White Breasted Water Hen, Tree Pie etc. The season for migratory birds is from November to March. Overnight stay at the hotel.
 
Day 6 : Kumarakom - Houseboat
Breakfast at the Hotel. Later, transfer by jetty to board the Houseboat. Staying in this moving palace is breathtakingly out of the world experience. While sailing through canals one can see the serene scenic beauty of Kerala, ranging from the beautiful villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and the local life. Lunch, dinner on board and next day breakfast and tea snacks will be provided on the houseboat. The cool breeze from the Lake make you feel relaxed and in the night after anchoring in a fancy place, dinner will be served. Stay overnight on the houseboat.
 
Day 7 : Houseboat - Alleppey - Cochin
After breakfast on the houseboat, disembark at Alleppey. Alleppey is also known as Venice of the East because of the narrow canals and the backwaters. Transfer to Cochin (70 Kms - 2 Hrs) and check in at the Hotel. Afternoon Cochin city tour - Visit St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace. Stay overnight at the Hotel.
 
Day 8 : Cochin departure
Transfer to the airport. Board flight for onward destination.

Mumbai - Goa - Mumbai

Day 1 : Mumbai
Arrive in Mumbai and transfer to the Hotel. Stay overnight at the Hotel.  
 
Day 2 : Mumbai
After breakfast, enjoy a Half day morning excursion to Elephanta Caves. Dating back to the 7th century, the Cave temples of Elephanta are dedicated to Lord Shiva. The most spectacular is the Maheshamurti panel, which depicts Shiva as the creator, protector and destroyer. In the afternoon, visit the Gateway of India, built to commemorate the royal visit of George V and Queen Mary in 1911. Stop by the Dhobi Ghat and the Flora Fountain. Drive down Marine Drive, pass Chowpatty Beach and the Parsi 'Towers of Silence'. Stay overnight at the Hotel in Mumbai.
 
Day 3 : Mumbai - Goa (By air)
After breakfast in the morning, transfer to the airport for flight to Goa. Upon arrival, transfer and check-in at the Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the Hotel.
 
Day 4 : Goa
After breakfast in the morning, explore the lovely beaches of north Goa at Calangute and Anjuna. Later, travel further south to unwind on the beaches in Colva, Miramar and Bogmallo. You have an option of taking a cruise on river Mandovi in the evening*. Stay overnight at the Hotel.  
 
Day 5 : Goa
After breakfast in the morning, enjoy the day with some sightseeing of churches and monuments from the Portuguese time, who ruled the land once upon a time. Stay overnight at the Hotel.
 
Day 6 : Goa
Full day is at leisure. Stay overnight at Hotel/Resort.
 
Day 7 : Goa - Mumbai (By air)
After breakfast in the morning, transfer to the airport for a flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the Hotel.
 
Day 8 : Depart Mumbai
Morning, transfer to the International airport for onward journey.
